Tropical Gold | Lauren + Scott
This glamorous private estate wedding was quite literally a golden event. The bride and groom originally met while at a mutual friend's birthday party. Upon shaking hands, Scott looked at Lauren, said, "My god, you're beautiful," and didn't let her go for the rest of the night... or the next five years. When the engagement finally happened the two decided that Hawaii would be the perfect destination local as Scott's family had a beautiful estate in the North of Kauai.
With the help of Moana Events, Lauren and Scott were able to plan their ideal wedding full of bright tropical whites, gold, and accents of royal blue. Their ceremony was nestled on a piece of property right next to the sea and the two were married under an incredible wedding arch overflowing with white hydrangea, roses, and magnificent large white orchids.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a refreshing cocktail hour featuring both the bride and groom's favorite drinks and fresh Goose Point oysters. Custom cocktail napkins and stir sticks depicted the couple's signature embossed monogram and pineapple logo. Guests were also invited to write the bride and groom a kind note on their guest board, a long piece of beautiful teakwood that was used as an alternative to a guest book and could later be displayed as decor in their home, a reminder of the love and support their friends and family have for them.
When the bride and groom returned from photos for the reception, they sat down to a tablescape of their dreams. Upon crisp white linens lay gold rimmed chargers, royal blue napkins and vases of candles floating on a bed of golden rocks. The table centerpieces were equally impressive and included dappled metallic gold vases with a stunning arrangement of white hydrangea, roses, and orchids.
As the sun fell and the sky darkened, the canopy over the reception lit up with hundreds of strings of white twinkle lights, illuminating the L & S monogramed white dance floor and the smiling faces of the guests. When the dancing guests grew weary they took rest in the lounge area that featured blue ikat print pillows to match the design on their custom save the date invitations.
